Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

• Email address when you sign up for a free resource (like the Pitch Grip Database), The Mound Visit newsletter, or an account.
• Application details when you apply for training or join a waitlist: your name, email, phone number, whether you're an athlete or parent, the athlete's name, level, graduation year, goals, and how you heard about us.
• Purchase details when you buy a course: your name, email and billing details. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Affiliate details if you join the affiliate program: your name, email and how you'd like to be paid (for example a Venmo username, Zelle email or phone number, or a mailing address for checks).
• Anything you send us, such as emails or messages.

Information collected automatically:

• Account and course activity, such as which lessons you've completed and where you left off in a video.
• Email activity, such as whether our emails were delivered, opened or clicked, so we can measure what's useful and stop emailing addresses that bounce.
• Referral information: if you arrive through an affiliate's link, we note which affiliate referred you.
• Basic technical information our hosting provider records to run and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested.

2. How we use your information

• To give you what you signed up for or bought, such as access to the Pitch Grip Database or a course, and to keep you logged in.
• To send The Mound Visit newsletter and related emails, including short email series that come with a free resource. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To respond to training applications and schedule coaching.
• To process payments, send receipts, and handle refunds.
• To credit and pay affiliates for sales they refer.
• To understand which content and emails are most helpful and to improve our programs and website.
• To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and spam, and meet legal obligations.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are needed for the site to work:

• Login cookie: keeps you signed in to your account (up to 60 days).
• Referral cookie: if you click an affiliate's link, remembers that affiliate for 30 days so they're credited if you buy.

We don't use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

4. Who we share information with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for them to provide their service:

• Stripe: payment processing.
• Resend: sending email.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Neon: database hosting.
• Cloudflare: storage for course videos, images and files.
• Calendly: booking assessments and sessions, if you schedule through it.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

5. Athletes under 18

Many of the athletes we coach are minors. Our website, accounts and newsletter are intended for parents, coaches, and athletes 13 and older. Information about athletes under 13 (such as a name, level or goals on a training application) should be provided by a parent or guardian, and we use it only to respond to that application and provide training.

If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information without a parent's consent, contact us and we'll delete it.

6. How long we keep information

We keep account and purchase information for as long as you have an account or access to a course, and as needed for tax and accounting records. Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe; after that we keep only what's needed to make sure we don't email them again. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

7. Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link at the bottom of any email. You'll still get emails about purchases and your account.
• Access, correct or delete your information by emailing info@pitchingcoachu.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. Contact us and we'll help.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, private storage for paid content, and access limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
